How Does VIDGuide Work?

We get asked quite a lot exactly how the process work for VIDGuide to serve up the top quality images you all desire!

We use the following hardware:

  • ComproUSA DVB-T300 HD Digital TV Tuner
  • Intel Core2 Duo based system
  • 4GB RAM

We use the following software:

  • ComproDTV Capture Software - To Record Live TV
  • VirtualDub with MPEG-II Support - For fast seeking forward and back thru up to 6GB of Digital Video (per episoide)
  • HyperSnap - To capture still images found with VirtualDub
  • WMRecord - To record the live streaming

VIDGuide.com itself is hosted by:

  • PowWeb Hosting
  • PHPNuke Platform
  • Gallery 2
